HP presents the new tablet named HP Slate 2 with OS Windows 7 which has a 8.9 inch screen, resolution 1024 × 600 with Atom processor, up from the era of 2009 on Slate 500 to the Atom Z670 1.66GHz modern family of Oak Trail. This upgrade would theoretically offer 6 hours of battery endurance. Another enhancement is a mixture of hardware and software. HP Tablets should be more responsive and portable with a 64GB SSD, an optional Bluetooth keyboard dock, and TPM to help lock down when on a corporate network. Swype keyboard also makes one of the first appearance on the desktop and potentially assist with thumb typing.
HP only planned to renew the commitment to tablet as the main products with OS Windows 8 by mid-2012 or more, which will become the first Microsoft OS that is really optimized for the touch and will give HP the option of using an ARM processor for longer battery life .
